Like it or not, winter has pretty much arrived. At Klein Tools’ headquarters in Chicago, we saw our first snowfall this week, followed by a nasty dip in temperatures (wind chills in the 10s?!).
I’ll admit, I write these blog posts from the comfort of my cube in a climate-controlled office building, but I can empathize with anyone who has to work outside in this kind of weather. So, even though the REALLY cold weather is yet to come, it’s never too early to be reminded of how to stay safe in these kinds of temperatures.
We’re just barely into November, and it’s already beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Stores are fully stocked with holiday décor, Christmas tree lightings are underway, and Starbucks is selling its popular holiday drinks. And we are happily jumping on the holiday bandwagon, because Christmas has come a little early here at Klein Tools.

We’re not big on bragging here at Klein Tools, but we’re pretty sure we have some of the best customers around. And we’re not JUST talking about the hard-working, dedicated-to-their-craft, tradesperson. We’re talking about the all-around good guys (and gals!).
There’s nothing quite like tailgating with friends before a football game. It doesn’t matter what the level of play is, whether it’s high school, college or the pros. Getting up early, brewing a pot of coffee and hitting the pavement always feels better when you’re gearing up for football. At Klein Tools, we share the same passion for pigskin and we have the tools to let you tailgate in style.
What exactly is a lineman’s rodeo? Well unfortunately, there are no bulls or rodeo clowns. Instead, the Lineman’s Rodeo attracts some of the most skilled linemen in the world to compete in a variety of events based on traditional lineman tasks and skills. While the “International Tree Climbing Competition” may have been a better way to describe this event, it really just doesn’t have the same ring to it as the Lineman’s Rodeo.
Klein Plastics in Rockford, MI was opened in 2005 and is one of Klein’s seven American manufacturing plants. One of the main functions of this plant is fitting handles inside of screwdriver blades and nut driver tubes that are shipped over from our corporate headquarters in Lincolnshire, IL. After this operation is complete, the finished products are shipped to our distribution facility in Cedar Rapids, IA.
