Proposition 65 is a California law passed in 1986 that requires manufacturers to notify consumers of the presence of over 900 chemicals in products sold in California. California adds chemicals to the list on an on-going basis. Chemicals included on the list are those which have been determined by a California state agency to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm if present in the product above specified levels. Klein Tools cares about the health of its customers and believes its products are safe when used for their intended purpose. To comply with this California law, Klein Tools places the CA Prop 65 Warning label on products that are shipped to California or have a likelihood of being shipped to California.
