When you think of things that are “tough,” many of us might put this year’s winter under that category. It’s been brutal, significant snowfall and double-digit negative temperatures nearly every week since December! Our friends to the north have had it even worse, so they posed a very topical question…

Is a Canadian winter #TougherThan our new tough meter, the MM500?

Needless to say, we felt a little warmer inside after seeing the results, and after watching that impressive feat, I’m sure you’re wondering, “What exactly is a ‘tough meter’”?

Very simply, it’s a meter that is as tough as you are.

Technically speaking, it means this:

  • IP67: Completely dustproof, and waterproof in up to 1 m/3 ft. of water.
  • 10 foot / 3 meter drop protection (and we did our drop tests on a rigid steel surface!)
  • CAT IV 600V safety rating, the highest category rating possible
