"Music is the soundtrack of your life." – Dick Clark
What do you get when you combine a long-nose pliers, a clamp meter, a tool backpack and two screwdrivers? ...a jobsite jam session!
Take a listen!
We know you guys listen to music a lot on the job and that many of you are musicians, too. That inspired us to make a little music of our own using some decidedly unique instruments.
And since Make Music Day was just this past weekend, we're extending a challenge to you!
Make Music started 32 years ago in France by a man named Jack Lang and his staff at the Ministry of Culture. They dreamed up a free music festival where anyone and everyone would be invited to not only listen to, but join in on, the music and host performances.
According to Make Music's website, this annual event has turned into a musical holiday in France that attracts 35 million people each year to listen and 5 million people to play their music. Make Music events are now celebrated in more than 700 cities in 120 different countries, including here in the United States.
So our challenge to you is this: Be inspired by our tool jam and create your own ins-tool-mental (tool-sical?) arrangement. Share it with us on Facebook, Twitter, or email it to us! There may just be a prize for our favorite tunes!
